毗邻长株潭城市群，处于武汉、重庆、广州大三角的中心位置，境内京广铁路、京珠高速、107国道、308省道纵横交错，凭借已有的回收网络，可以吞纳更多的可再生资源，区位优势明显。     Located to the northeast of Taicang Municipality, on the east bank of the Yangtze River, right opposite Chongming Island and Wusong Mouth, adjacent to State Road 204 and Yanjiang Highway to the west, bordering Changshu Municipality to the north, with Hufuhuang Road and several streams and branches of the Yangtze River running through it which renders communication and transportation by land and water extraordinarily convenient, Fuqiao Town, covering a total area of 144 square km and with its population amounting to 76.5 thousand people in 52 administrative villages, is the centre of Taicang Port authorized and designated by State Environmental Protection Administration of China as the zone specialized in the recycling and processing of imported scrap resources.
